The CERT Basic Training course educates community members about disaster preparedness and trains them in basic disaster response skills such as Fire Safety, Light Search and Rescue, and Disaster Medical Operations. It is designed to help individuals assist their families and communities during emergencies until professional responders arrive.
Before, during, and after disasters, CERT volunteer teams perform basic response activities—including checking in on neighbors, distributing information to the public, supporting Emergency Operations Centers, and helping manage traffic and crowds. This support frees professional responders to focus on more complex and critical tasks.
We do not have any CERT Basic Training course offerings at this time. Our next training is tentatively scheduled for early 2027, so please check this page in January 2027 for information regarding upcoming training opportunities.
