The Keller Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is a dedicated group of trained volunteers who work alongside Keller First Responders to assist with Disaster Preparedness and Disaster Response, and support the safety and well-being of our community during events and emergencies.
We exist to support the mission of Keller First Responders by:
Offering a trained volunteer workforce in support of First Responder requirements during emergencies for non-hazardous functions such as evacuation, crowd management, and on-site First Responder rehabilitation.
Educating residents in basic disaster preparedness and response to improve their ability to survive and to safely help others until First Responders or other assistance arrives,
Training residents in immediate on-site disaster operations including emergency radio communications, fire suppression, basic medical operations, and light search and rescue, and
Whether it's a natural disaster, an accident, or any emergency situation, the first few minutes can make all the difference. Keller CERT members are trained to step in quickly, ensuring our community remains resilient in the face of adversity. We serve as an essential force multiplier, providing help when it’s needed most and strengthening the connection between residents and Keller First Responders.
